It’s that time of year again – conference season! And I, Richard Tromans, founder of Artificial Lawyer, will be on tour this October and November. Here are some of the upcoming speaking and moderating roles I’ll be participating in, as well as some other events I’ll be attending:
October 15th – Litera and LexFusion Event – London – I’ll be chairing the panel ‘Ratcheting Expectations in the Age of GenAI’ with in-house counsel Lucy Longmore from Koch Industries and Luis de Freitas from Boston Consulting Group, along with Ben Stirling, Director of Applied Technology at Norton Rose Fulbright.
October 16th – Legal Geek, ‘AI Playtime is Over Workshop’ – 2PM, Wed – organized by BRYTER. I’ll be part of a great group, including Nikki Shaver from the Legal Tech Hub, plus Michael Grupp, Max Paterson and more, exploring where we really are with legal genAI. I’ll also be attending Legal Geek on both days and hope to catch up with many of you there!
October 22nd – CLOC EMEA – I’ll likely just be attending.
October 25th – Djoef – Copenhagen, Denmark – after giving the keynote at TechTorget earlier this month, I’ll be back in Scandinavia to give another keynote, this time with Djoef, which is a Danish professional organization that represents people working in law, economics, political science, and other social sciences. The subject: the impact of genAI (both pros and cons) for knowledge workers.
November 6th and 7th – Legal Innovators UK – London – I’ll be chairing the landmark two-day legal innovation event in America Square, and moderating some panels as well.
November 12th – LexisNexis + Artificial Lawyer webinar – ‘AI + Legal Education’ – I’ll be chairing a great webinar panel all about how AI can be leveraged in education, and also how it will inevitably change legal education and training, with Megan Ma from CODEX at Stanford, Peter Alston from BPP, and more. (RSVP details coming soon.)
November 14th – NetDocuments Inspire EMEA – London – I’ll likely just be attending.
November 21st – LexisNexis + Artificial Lawyer webinar – ‘Developing an Innovation Strategy’ – I’ll be chairing another webinar panel with leading experts that includes Hélder Santos from Bird & Bird and Shilpa Bhandarkar from Linklaters, and more. (RSVP details coming soon.)
November 27th – Nordic Legal Tech Day – Helsinki, Finland – I’ll be giving the keynote and taking part in panels at this pioneering event in the great Nordic city. More information can be found here.
And there are probably some others, but that’s enough for now. More information about the LexisNexis webinars will be available closer to the date, and as always, you can find out more about Legal Innovators UK on Nov 6 and 7 here. Plus, if you really want to plan ahead, come along to Legal Innovators California, taking place in San Francisco on June 11 and 12, 2025. More information can be found here. It will be our fourth conference in the Bay Area and we’re really looking forward to it. See you soon at one of these events, but make sure to keep an eye out for key information.
